USC’s 2026–27 Yellow Ribbon participation is especially strong for eligible undergraduates, but “full ride” is too broad. The program covers eligible tuition and mandatory fees—not housing, meals, parking or every other cost—and graduate awards vary by school.
Undergraduate coverage
USC lists all undergraduate divisions as unlimited for both the number of participating students and the annual school contribution. Eligible undergraduates must still meet VA requirements, be admitted, submit certification materials and have remaining GI Bill entitlement.
Graduate programs differ
USC’s official table shows program-specific graduate rules. Some programs have unlimited student slots but a dollar cap; some have limited slots; and some, including listed 2026–27 programs, use different maximum contributions. Admission to a limited program does not guarantee an award.
Eligibility and process
- Confirm 100% Post-9/11 GI Bill eligibility for Yellow Ribbon.
- Enroll in degree-applicable courses.
- Submit USC’s Application for Semester Entitlement each term.
- Upload the Certificate of Eligibility or Statement of Benefits.
- Review the specific school’s current slot and contribution table.
What may remain unpaid
USC states that Yellow Ribbon funds apply to tuition and mandatory fees. Housing, food, parking and other costs are outside that scope. Other tuition-specific scholarships can also change the amount USC and VA apply.
